Why did I become a midwife? The truth is, midwifery isn’t just a career choice for me– it’s personal. My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 12 weeks. It was so painful and isolating. I longed for support from my provider but instead I received the too-often-used “call me when you’re pregnant again.” Despite still having so many questions and unmet needs, I was quickly released from care with no follow-up. I knew there was a better way, that we deserve more from our providers. I was already interested in Midwifery, but this experience ignited a deeper kind of calling. That experience changed me. It made me realize how much we need compassionate, continuous care—not just when things go as planned, but especially when they don’t.

My commitment to you is to sit with you through all of the highs and lows you may encounter on your path to parenthood. I will help you find the information you need to make informed decisions about your and your baby’s care and honor your personal goals, values, and all that makes you the unique person you are. Whether your path to parenthood is joyful, complex, or a mix of both, I am here to support you every step of the way.

I believe that the best pregnancy care happens when there is a strong level of trust between the midwife and client. Because of this, I prioritize genuine conversation and invite you to show up as your most authentic self. You are valued, you are safe, and you belong here.

If you’re looking for a midwife who will walk beside you with compassion, knowledge, and respect, I would be honored to be part of your journey.
