“My husband and I were blown away with the level of care we received at the Bellingham Birth Center. From the first time we went in at 7 weeks pregnant with our first baby, to our last checkup six weeks after our daughter was born, we received nothing but the highest and best care! Our midwives were incredibly warm, loving, and created such a safe space in their work. Throughout the entire pregnancy and birth we felt heard, informed, and valued in our decision making. We never felt pressured into a single decision, and always felt autonomous over what we decided – something you might have to strongly advocate for in a hospital setting. Having ample time at each appointment offered us the space we needed as first time parents to ask all the questions, get all the information, and just to build a beautiful connection and relationship with our midwives! something you want in the vulnerable place of giving birth ;). And not to mention – labor and delivery for our first baby was the MOST empowering thing I’ve ever done, with the love and support and belief from my husband and midwives, I got to birth my daughter in the tub! Everyone in the room was on the same page, they followed every wish in my birth preferences without question, and kept us and baby safe throughout all of it! And we got to go home just a few hours after giving birth to our sweet girl – something we treasured! If you are still reading this, whether a first time mom or well-established in the realm of giving birth (but looking for a different experience) I highly, highly recommend the Bellingham Birth Center!
